Rocky Mountain Door Hardware
Contrary to what the name suggests, Zeppelin is not inspired by airships. Rather, the sculpturally faceted design draws its form from the exquisite melon-shaped legs that fashioned 1920s furniture. Balancing distinctive and delicate details—such as slightly tapered lines, fluted posts and rounded finials—the intrinsically romantic collection perfectly portrays Thomas’ affinity for referencing traditional elements as seen through a contemporary lens. The Flute Collection, aptly named for the fluted detailing that characterizes ancient Corinthian columns, captures Thomas’ affinity for referencing classic architectural elements. Each piece is thoughtfully simple in shape, commanding in scale and textured to the touch. For the Paris Collection, Thomas based his design in the historical styles from 17th and 18th century France distilled down to its purist form, stripping away extraneous details typical of the era to capture the timeless silhouettes presented in this collection. All of Thomas’ collections include door and cabinet hardware for residential or commercial use. FLUTE COLLECTION ON PAGES 48-53 PARIS COLLECTION ON PAGES 160-165 OUR ONGOING COLLABORATION WITH hospitality interior designer Roger Thomas has resulted in numerous beautiful collec- tions, including, the Paris Collection, the Flute Collection and most recently the Barre and Zeppelin Collections. As former Vice President of Design for Wynn Design and Development, Thomas is known for his luxuri- ous interiors which are grounded in his deep appreciation of design history. The Barre collection harmonizes classical and industrial styles to create a series that explores the beauty of architectural simplicity. Influ- enced by the minimal elegance of a ballet barre and the precise lines of a trained dancer—with a nod to vintage bar rails for further intrigue—the assortment is guided by a graceful restraint with a dash of edge for today’s interiors. 22 23 ART I SAN COLLECT ION architectural elements with angular profiles and a strong textural effect.
