The main hotel building dates from the mid-nineteenth century and is a classic Victorian design, with each bedroom named after an English poet. The modern spa and pool area present an oasis of tranquillity, with treatments tailored and delivered in an extremely calm, relaxed and comfortable environment. Solution: The decked pool area is flanked on two sides by classic teak Capri Loungers – Base, which are designed to be static. Each lounger has a full-length cushion in water-repellent Charcoal Sunbrella® fabric and each pair of loungers share a Colchester Low Table 54. The informal poolside dining area is furnished with Equinox Chairs and Tables 100, made using 316 marine-grade stainless steel. The tables have teak tops, and the chairs have shaped backs and seats in teak. The teak brings warmth and softness to the contemporary stainless steel with horizontal lines in the loungers and dining furniture that echo the horizontal styling that is evident in the decking and pool house frontage. Tucked neatly into the pool house is a snug with a wood-burning fire and blankets.
